  • Elias Kysely
    Elias Kysely supported the ICA project as a student assistant from November 2022 to April 2023 and from July 2023 to December 2023 by digitising documents from the research data collection "Islam in Africa".
  • Molham Abo Hassan, B.A.
    Mohlham Abo Hassan supported the ICA project with his technical and linguistical expertise from October 2021 to September 2022.
  • Sennen Gagnol
    Sennen Gagnol supported the chair in 2020 as student assistant. From October 2020 to September 2021 he supported the ICA project with translation tasks.

    Jamil M. Abun-Nasr represented Islamic Studies with a focus on Africa already since 1980 within the field of African Studies at the University of Bayreuth. In 1985 he was appointed on the newly established chair of Islamic Studies and represented it until his retirement in 1997. More information
